Key Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitization of resident apartments and communal spaces according to designated schedules using correct procedures.
• Clean furniture, kitchen and washroom fixtures, walls, ceilings, lighting, vents, and windows in resident and common areas.
• Operate floor maintenance equipment including floor care machines and steam cleaners.
• Strip, scrub, spray, and buff both carpeted and non-carpeted floors.
• Collect and properly dispose of garbage to assigned locations.
• Follow residence policies and procedures diligently, including health and safety regulations and safe work practices.
• Complete required documentation consistent with residence guidelines.
• Respect and promote Residents' Rights and Responsibilities.
• Attend training sessions to enhance service quality for residents.
• Participate in staff meetings to stay informed about residence updates.
• Engage in the Quality Improvement Program initiatives.
• Maintain trust and work ethically with vulnerable adult residents.
• Uphold and exemplify the organization's core values regarding ethics, morality, and integrity.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
• Capability to provide regular feedback.
• Familiarity with standard cleaning techniques used in institutional settings.
• Prior experience in commercial, residential, or healthcare cleaning and laundry processes is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Meet the physical demands associated with the role.
• Proficiency in another language is an advantage.
• Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check (including Criminal Background Check) dated within the last six months or be willing to obtain one.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is $19.97.
