High Voltage Cable Terminator

About the Role

Stowe Australia, a leading electrical and communications contractor in the country, is seeking an experienced High Voltage Cable Terminator/Jointer skilled in terminating high voltage cables up to 33KV. The position requires hands-on expertise with various HV terminating products and active involvement in electrical infrastructure installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high voltage installations including cable jointing and terminating cables up to 33KV.
• Utilize familiarity with products such as Raychem, Nexans, and other high voltage terminating solutions available in the market.
• Conduct A Grade Fieldwork regularly, involving installation of HV substations, switchgear, transformers, and earthing systems.
• Prepare and develop job-specific Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), execute pre-start safety meetings, and perform safety audits to ensure compliance.
• Demonstrate planning skills and provide comprehensive reporting on tasks and projects.
• Maintain effective communication across teams and stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications and Certifications

• Possession of Victorian ‘A’ Grade Electrical License.
• Competency in HV termination products or equivalent experience.
• Certificate III in Distribution Cable Jointing (VESI) is advantageous.
• Valid Construction Industry White Card.
• Full Victorian Driver's License.
• Current LR Vehicle Registration and CPR certification.

Remuneration and benefits will reflect the candidate’s experience and abilities, following the existing Stowe Victoria Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) conditions.
