Compensation and Benefits

The role pays an hourly wage between $20 and $28, depending on your handyman experience and skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and drywall work. Additional benefits include:

Primary Responsibilities

• Performing maintenance and repair tasks on residential and commercial properties, with projects varying from a couple of hours up to two days.
• Engaging with customers to clarify job requirements, set clear expectations regarding scope and cost, and provide professional recommendations.
• Building lasting customer relationships by consistently delivering outstanding service according to the established 'Mr. Handyman Way' procedures.

Performance Metrics

• Achieving high customer satisfaction through encouraging post-job surveys.
• Meeting revenue goals by retaining customers and identifying additional service opportunities.
• Ensuring accurate invoicing, material sourcing, and payment collection.
• Maintaining high workmanship standards with minimal recall requests within the one-year guarantee period.

• Ability to work independently with good time management skills.
• Strong customer service aptitude for effective communication and payment collection.
• Possession and use of necessary tools and technology.
• Adherence to the company's documentation process and safety protocols, including proper personal protective equipment and home protection measures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Resident of the local area.
• At least 5 years of paid experience as a handyman.
• Ownership of personal tools.
• Eligible and insurable to drive company vehicles.
• Successful completion of background and driving record checks.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
• Capability to safely work at heights and perform overhead tasks for extended periods.
• Professional appearance and responsibility for maintaining the company vehicle assigned.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in at least three of the following areas: carpentry, bathroom and kitchen improvements, interior and exterior painting, drywall repair, general plumbing and electrical (as permitted by law), floor installation and refinishing.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes.
