Role Overview

We are seeking a General Assistant (Cleaner) to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of our gym facilities. This role involves cleaning various areas such as workout spaces, changing rooms, showers, and communal zones, ensuring the gym is safe, sanitary, and welcoming. This position is part-time with a 20-hour weekly schedule, ideal for someone who is attentive, dedicated, and enjoys working within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning and upkeep of all gym areas, including fitness zones, studios, changing rooms, showers, and shared spaces.
• Sanitizing gym equipment, contact points, and surfaces to high standards.
• Performing scheduled cleaning routines and daily compliance inspections.
• Managing waste through bin emptying and proper disposal.
• Monitoring and reporting inventory levels of cleaning supplies.
• Identifying and communicating maintenance and health & safety issues promptly.
• Assisting the club team to enhance member experiences through cleanliness and presentation.
• Maintaining safety and cleanliness standards consistently.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or facility maintenance.
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols, hygiene standards, and safe handling of chemicals.
• Background in leisure, hospitality, retail, or commercial sectors.

Training and Development
