Job Overview

We are looking for a Janitor responsible for comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas within a building or across multiple client locations. Responsibilities vary and flexibility to perform different tasks according to client requirements is essential.

Working Schedule and Compensation

The schedule is Monday through Sunday from 6 AM to 11 AM, offering $12 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean various floor types via sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Use chemical cleaners and power equipment carefully to avoid damaging floors or other surfaces
• Clean and upkeep restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and entry areas
• Dispose of trash properly and operate compactors when applicable
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate tools and cleaners
• Perform spot cleaning for carpets; assist with deep carpet extraction and shampooing
• Restock paper goods and sanitary supplies as needed
• Adhere to housekeeping schedules and routines
• Occasionally operate heavy cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Perform additional duties as assigned to meet the scope of work or client needs

Qualifications

Mandatory:

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six months experience in janitorial work
• Ability to learn on the job with provided training
• Strong attention to detail
• Capability to follow instructions accurately

Preferred:

• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience
• Knowledge of custodial procedures and commercial cleaning standards
• Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and waxing
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities upkeep
