Role Overview

The Finance team is integral to Revolut's operational and strategic success, delivering precise financial insights, risk assessments, and growth guidance. The Finance Manager role based in New Zealand focuses on daily financial reporting, ensuring tax compliance, handling reconciliations, and facilitating audit processes to deliver timely, high-quality financial information to the business.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the monthly accounting close activities including bookkeeping, analyzing variances, and controls using NetSuite and proprietary financial tools.
Maintain ownership of reconciliations, enforce financial controls, and manage SOX compliance frameworks.
Lead and manage local statutory audit processes.
Support preparation and completion of the company’s disclosure statement.
Contribute to comprehensive regulatory reporting initiatives.
Collaborate closely with global Tax teams concerning VAT and Corporate Income Tax filings.
Manage relationships with accounting vendors to ensure efficient financial operations.
Serve as the local point of contact for finance-related queries and issues.
Develop and enhance financial processes to increase reporting accuracy and efficiency, leveraging automation and control improvements.

Candidate Requirements

Possession of a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.
Certification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or a comparable local credential.
Minimum of five years' relevant experience, or at least four years of post-qualification work in finance within banking, fintech, financial services, or high-growth technology sectors.
Background experience as an external auditor with some exposure to financial services, or as a finance manager or accountant in a sizeable organization.
Strong proficiency in accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
In-depth knowledge of New Zealand’s direct and indirect tax laws along with banking regulations.
Understanding and application of IFRS and local GAAP standards.
Demonstrated ability to build and optimize financial processes.
Familiarity with NetSuite and analytical tools such as SQL is preferred.

Desirable Skills

Experience within a Chartered Accountant firm or financial control roles related to banking or financial services.
Prior experience managing company entities in a similar capacity.
