Position Overview
Join a leading global mining and resource company operating across 35 countries, including major projects in Weipa, far north Queensland. Specializing in iron ore, copper, and aluminium, the company employs advanced technologies aimed at growth in energy transition materials. The Weipa site encompasses bauxite mining, processing, export facilities, power stations, rail networks, and more, situated 900km north-west of Cairns along the Gulf of Carpentaria.
The vibrant Weipa community offers a unique coastal lifestyle enriched by local culture and ample recreational opportunities such as boating, fishing, camping, and community events.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate grader machinery on large-scale earthworks projects, ensuring quality and safety.
- Meet project deadlines within a production-focused environment.
- Perform pre-start inspections and maintain grader equipment to site standards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and site regulations.
- Contribute as a vital member of a high-performing team until project completion.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of an RII Grader license.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a G1 & Coal Board Medical clearance.
- Valid driver's license and legal right to work in Australia.
Compensation and Working Conditions
- Hourly wage of $70.07 AUD.
- Work schedule follows a 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster, day shift only.
- Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO) from Brisbane or Cairns with paid travel time included.
