Field Operator - Predator Free Wellington

About the Role

We seek two enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our committed Predator Free Wellington team. These are fixed-term positions running until June 2028, based at the Wellington Depot in Wilton. As a Field Operator, you will contribute significantly to Wellington's pest eradication efforts, with a focus on eliminating rodents. You will be at the forefront of the project, managing an extensive network of bait stations and traps, conducting pest monitoring, camera trapping, contributing to innovation discussions on tackling pest challenges, and accurately recording field data.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and service a wide network of bait stations and pest traps.
• Carry out monitoring activities including camera trapping and pest surveillance.
• Participate actively in innovative discussions on pest control methods.
• Accurately record and manage field data related to pest control efforts.

Required Experience and Skills

• High physical fitness and capability to carry heavy equipment.
• Proven interest and experience working outdoors.
• Experience in operational fieldwork roles.
• Willingness and ability to acquire new skills.
• Previous pest management experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software applications.

Salary

The total remuneration package ranges from $61,691 to $92,536 annually, with the midpoint at $77,113. Initial salary offers will be based on skills and experience, typically around the midpoint of this range.
