Role Overview
This permanent full-time position based in Canberra offers a salary package of up to $175,000. The Export Control Specialist will operate within a complex project setting, providing expert guidance on export control compliance, supporting governance efforts, and ensuring that vital projects adhere to applicable export control regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and update Technical Assistance Agreement (TAA) and Third Party Retransfer (TPR) registers.
- Coordinate review processes and actively manage amendments with Asset Managers and subject experts.
- Maintain registers for Non-Disclosure Deeds and ensure their templates are up-to-date.
- Assess data sharing proposals for conformity with Export Control and ITAR guidelines.
- Offer specialized advice and support on Export Controls to stakeholders involved in projects.
- Execute internal assurance activities, prepare monthly compliance reports, and implement controls to mitigate compliance risks.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience managing ITAR and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) export control frameworks.
- Familiarity with complex acquisition or sustainment operational environments.
- In-depth knowledge of export control governance, compliance strategies, and risk management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

- This role requires the candidate to possess at least NV1 security clearance.
