Description de l'emploi

Role Overview

The Executive Assistant will join the newly formed Office of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) during a pivotal time. This critical position supports the COO by optimizing the management of their time and workload to maximize benefits for the Trust. The postholder serves as a vital conduit, enabling the COO's effective operation across the organization and with external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clear understanding of the COO's strategic priorities to anticipate their needs proactively.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for the COO, handling communications with internal and external visitors, including patients.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement at senior levels, upholding and safeguarding the Trust's reputation at all times.
  • Deliver superior secretarial and administrative support, exercising discretion, initiative, and independent judgment to manage priorities and coordinate complex tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with the Business Manager to the COO to maximize efficient use of the COO’s time.
  • Foster strong working relationships across all levels of the Trust and with key external partners.
  • Confidently influence and challenge information or explanations provided by experts where necessary.

Organizational Strategy

The Trust's 2023-2028 strategy focuses on three core missions:

  • Outstanding emergency and urgent care delivery wherever needed.
  • Building a well-led, highly skilled, inclusive organization that staff are proud to work for.
  • Leveraging a pan-London role to enhance public health across the capital.

To fulfill these missions, 50 ambitious commitments have been set for the next five years, developed through extensive engagement with internal staff, partners, and patients, alongside analysis of population trends and future forecasting.
