Events, Marketing & Communications Associate (Contract)

About the Role

QAI Ventures AG, a globally active venture capital platform focusing on Quantum Tech and enabling technologies, is seeking an Events, Marketing & Communications Associate in Singapore. This contract position offers those passionate about deep tech, venture capital, and strategic communication the opportunity to play an integral role supporting QAI's activities in startup programs, branding, and event management within the APAC region. The successful candidate will work onsite, contributing directly to marketing initiatives, event execution, and content production for both QAI Ventures and their early-stage portfolio ventures.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage events such as accelerator showcases, investor meetings, and ecosystem gatherings. Oversee logistics including venues, speaker arrangements, communications, and on-site coordination.
• Facilitate QAI's participation in APAC innovation events, handling material preparation and team briefings.
• Establish and nurture relationships with event partners and vendors within Singapore and across APAC.
• Support implementation of local marketing strategies in line with global objectives, working closely with the marketing lead in Europe to maintain brand consistency.
• Manage and expand social media presence (primarily LinkedIn): craft, schedule, and analyze content.
• Maintain updates to the Singapore office’s website and develop localized marketing assets that align with overall brand standards.
• Collaborate with agencies and freelancers on design and campaign deliverables.
• Help structure foundational marketing platforms for portfolio ventures, including web copy and brand messaging.
• Assist in positioning and messaging for deep tech startups, translating complex quantum or AI topics into digestible narratives.
• Draft and adapt various marketing and communication materials for both the ventures and QAI Singapore.
• Monitor and report on marketing effectiveness and program application outcomes.
• Develop external communications such as newsletters and program updates; contribute to tailored pitch materials for portfolio companies.
• Ensure a consistent and strong brand voice across all communication channels.
• Generate and qualify leads for accelerator programs through strategic outreach and campaign management.

Requirements

• Recent graduate holding a BA, MA, MBA, PhD or similar in marketing, communications, business, or tech management.
• Outstanding written and spoken English, with the ability to simplify complex topics for various audiences.
• Proven experience in events, marketing, or content production, gained via internships or independent projects.
• Highly organized and attentive to detail, capable of managing several projects simultaneously.
• Self-driven and able to work independently, ready to own deliverables from day one.
• Located in Singapore.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Interest in deep tech, quantum computing, AI, or similar fields.
• Familiarity with social media management platforms, CMS, or marketing analytics tools.
• Background in the Asian startup landscape or direct experience with startups/accelerators/VCs.
• Graphic design or multimedia content production (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing).
