Events Manager

About the Role

NTU International is assembling a roster of qualified Non-Key Experts for a three-year project focused on communication outreach and engagement concerning EU policies in North Africa, the Middle East, and the Gulf. This role provides strategic, technical, and logistical support to the DG MENA communications team to enhance the visibility and impact of the European Union's policies and initiatives across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and oversee conferences, seminars, workshops, press briefings, and public engagement initiatives.
• Handle all logistical components of institutional events such as venue arrangements, participant registration, and coordination with suppliers.
• Manage event timelines, speakers, moderators, and technical service providers to ensure seamless execution.
• Assist with protocol matters and facilitate participation of senior EU officials, partner organizations, and external stakeholders.
• Supervise event delivery on-site to ensure smooth operations.
• Coordinate communication materials and participant information linked to events.
• Contribute to post-event assessments by compiling reports, evaluations, and lessons learned.
• Collaborate effectively with communication teams, service providers, and DG MENA throughout event planning and execution.

Qualifications and Skills

• University degree or equivalent professional experience in event management, communication, or hospitality.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Knowledge of French and/or Arabic is advantageous.

Experience

• At least five years general experience in event planning and logistics.
• Minimum of three years specifically in managing institutional or communication events.
