About MOBCO Group and the Role

MOBCO Group is in search of an accomplished Estimation Director to spearhead the estimation activities for significant construction projects throughout Saudi Arabia. This leadership role demands profound experience in the contracting sector, a proven history of winning substantial projects via precise and competitive bids, along with strong management capabilities.

Key Accountabilities

• Direct and oversee the Estimation Department spanning all divisions within the organization.
• Design and execute tendering and estimation approaches aimed at enhancing project acquisition success rates.
• Examine tender documentation including drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities, and contractual terms.
• Supervise the creation of detailed cost forecasts, budgets, and commercial offers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, procurement, planning, commercial, and project management during bid formulation.
• Detect potential risks and opportunities in projects to refine pricing methodologies.
• Drive value engineering processes to improve bid competitiveness without compromising profit margins.
• Scrutinize subcontractor and supplier bids for technical and commercial adherence.
• Deliver final cost estimates and bidding tactics to senior management for endorsement.
• Build and nurture strong partnerships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Evaluate market dynamics including labor costs, material expenses, and construction methods to maintain competitive pricing.
• Coach and enhance the skills of estimation engineers and managers to elevate team competence.
• Ensure adherence to corporate policies, industry benchmarks, and client stipulations.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• At least 25 years of solid experience within construction and contracting sectors.
• Demonstrated tenure with distinguished contracting organizations.
• In-depth understanding and practical experience within the Saudi Arabian construction market.
• Proven success record in obtaining major construction projects through effective competitive tendering.
• Expertise in pre-contract management, cost estimation, value engineering, and tender strategy development.
• Strong commercial insight combining contractual and financial proficiency.
• Exceptional skills in leadership and managing teams effectively.
