Role overview

This position sits within an internal dealing team, where you will manage a portfolio of assigned clients and help expand the business generated from those accounts. The role also includes supporting related duties as required by the team.

What you’ll do

• Develop the client book and increase the revenue linked to your portfolio.
• Respond to client questions, process trade orders, and manage settlement activities.
• Support credit control and related risk-management checks.

What the role demands

To do well in this position, you should understand both fundamental and technical stock analysis, and be comfortable working with a range of financial products such as bonds and margin-related products. You will need to communicate clearly with clients one-to-one as well as in seminar or webinar settings. A strong sales orientation is important, along with the ability to assess how market and current affairs developments may affect portfolios. Attention to detail and a client-first mindset are also essential for delivering strong service.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in any field is required, with Economics, Finance, or Engineering preferred. Prior exposure to the financial services sector will be considered an advantage. CMFAS M1a, M5, M6, and M6a certifications are helpful, though not mandatory. Applicants without work experience may still be considered if they show the right attitude and enthusiasm for the role.
