ELV Technician

Job Overview

This role involves the installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of electronic security systems such as CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection devices. The technician will operate under the guidance of a Project Engineer and perform skilled tasks including minor carpentry and drilling as required.

Responsibilities

• Install components of security systems such as cameras, motion sensors, electronic locks, following instructions from the Project Engineer.
• Set up structured cabling essential for systems including CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection.
• Provide installation and servicing of intrusion, CCTV, and access control systems in commercial and upscale residential properties.
• Travel to different client locations to carry out installation and service assignments.
• Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and within teams.
• Maintain good organizational skills and handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Communicate clearly in both verbal and written forms.
• Operate electronic test equipment such as digital multimeters for voltage readings.
• Use hand and power tools including drills, screwdrivers, and cable cutters efficiently.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, datasheets, and work instructions accurately.
• Possess foundational knowledge or training in electronics and security systems like IP surveillance, intrusion detection, and access control systems is beneficial.
• Fabricate parts and cables as needed to ensure successful installation completion.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Engineer throughout project execution.
• Follow common safety protocols and practices on-site.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education level: High School diploma.
• Possession of an IT Diploma certification is advantageous.
• At least two years of professional experience within security services companies.
• Having a valid UAE driving license is a plus.
