Role Summary

Compensation
The starting pay for this role is $20.00 per hour. The organization acknowledges service through pay increases at six months and annually up to three years, where the wage can rise to $24.50 per hour.
Job Start
This position commences in July or August.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently operate commercial dishwashing equipment and hand-wash items as required, ensuring all kitchenware meets high cleanliness standards.
- Keep all surfaces sanitized, maintain dry and safe floors, and ensure cleaned items are correctly stored.
- Handle the collection and disposal of trash and recycling materials from assigned zones.
- Adhere strictly to operating procedures and Fairmont quality standards, reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
- Display flexibility by learning and assisting in various sections as needed and performing additional duties assigned by supervisors.
Physical Demands
- Standing and walking continuously for up to an 8-hour shift.
- Capacity to lift, push, pull, and carry items exceeding 50 pounds.
- Able to bend, twist, climb, kneel, and reach above and below shoulder height comfortably.
- Working in noisy settings with exposure to temperature extremes, water, chemicals, fumes, and dust.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in a similar capacity is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Certification in Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
- Competence in operating industrial kitchen machinery.
- Strong commitment to maintaining a safe, clean working environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Effective time management skills with the aptitude to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
