Dishwasher - Full Time

About the Role

Morrison Healthcare, part of Compass Healthcare, is seeking a full-time Dishwasher to join our team at Mercy Joplin, located at 100 Mercy Way, Joplin, MO 64804. This position focuses on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, kitchen tools, and work areas to support our commitment to excellence in healthcare nutrition.

Work Schedule

The work hours are full-time, with shifts available from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm or 12:30 pm to 8:00 pm, with possible variation in days. More detailed scheduling information will be provided during the interview.

Job Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food residues from dirty dishes before washing them manually or using dishwashing equipment according to assigned tools.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays following established procedures to ensure thorough sanitation.
• Polish silverware using equipment such as burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing wheels, or by hand as per protocols.
• Comply fully with safety guidelines and maintain all dishwashing area temperatures and chemical levels as specified.
• Keep dish area organized and in line with safety standards.
• Clean kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping to maintain safety and sanitation compliance.
• Sanitize work tables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and all food preparation surfaces.
• Handle waste removal by placing trash in designated containers and steam cleaning or hosing out garbage cans.
• Move supplies and equipment between storage and work zones as needed.
• Assist with loading and unloading supplies and products.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dishwashing is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must be capable of fulfilling the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage for this position is $16.00.
