Position Overview
The Director of Program Management role is a remote, full-time position accountable for managing complex programs and projects from start to finish. This leadership role involves directing cross-functional teams, establishing program objectives and schedules, and ensuring alignment with the broader organizational strategy and priorities. Key duties include controlling the scope of programs, identifying and mitigating risks, monitoring progress milestones, and coordinating resources along with budget management. The director partners with senior leaders to define success criteria, report on program achievements, and champion continuous enhancements in both process and results. Additionally, the role includes mentoring staff, refining program management methodologies, and facilitating clear communication across all stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive expertise in program and project management, adept at handling several initiatives concurrently.
- Proven leadership skills in team coaching, managing performance, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong financial management capabilities, including budgeting, cost tracking, and efficient program spending.
- Advanced strategic planning proficiency, with the ability to establish long-term goals, prioritize projects, and align programs to business objectives.
- Exceptional communicator, skilled at stakeholder engagement and presenting complex information clearly to varied audiences.
- Experienced in working with remote or distributed teams and solid organizational and time management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degrees or certifications such as PMP or PgMP are advantageous.
- Established record of senior leadership in program or project management, ideally within a venture-driven or growth-focused setting.
