Role Overview
The Digital Product Manager at Indigo owns the customer-facing e-commerce products' performance, focusing on metrics like conversion, engagement, site performance, and accessibility. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the manager translates customer insights and business strategies into a prioritized product roadmap and drives initiatives from conception through launch and iterative improvements, targeting measurable impact.
Key Performance Indicators
- Conversion rates and revenue within assigned product areas
- Achievement of Core Web Vitals and site performance goals
- Adherence to accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) across products
Main Responsibilities
- Investigate customer feedback, market conditions, and data to identify and articulate key problems
- Act as the customer advocate, anticipating needs to ensure seamless experiences that enhance engagement and conversion
- Perform root-cause analysis on performance or experience issues to recommend improvements
- Keep abreast of e-commerce trends, competitive landscape, and new technologies
- Balance user demands, technical constraints, and business goals to prioritize product features and requirements transparently with data-backed rationale
- Maintain and steer the product roadmap for customer-facing experiences including search, browsing, product details, navigation, and content, all aligned with business objectives
- Identify technology solutions that blend high-tech and personalized experiences for customers
- Lead product development from brainstorming through launch, partnering closely with UX/UI, engineering, and business teams
- Craft user stories, define acceptance criteria, and manage backlogs in Agile workflows
- Coordinate with marketing, operations, and merchandising for smooth execution of product releases
- Establish and monitor KPIs for initiatives, reporting outcomes and iterating upon products based on feedback and performance data
- Ensure team deliverables are met on time and within budget when applicable
- Provide leadership by influence to unite engineering, design, and business partners around shared goals despite lack of formal authority
- Build strong stakeholder relationships to facilitate timely decisions and workflow progress
- Deliver and receive candid, constructive feedback to support collaborative evolution
- Promote flexible, iterative problem-solving and actively share technical knowledge within the team
- Help teammates appreciate the significance of their work and encourage cross-functional input

- Direct report to Senior Manager, Group Product
- Indirect report to Chief Customer Officer
Collaborative Partners
- Internal: Technology teams (architecture, development, QA), product design, senior business leaders from online merchandising, operations, marketing, loyalty and retail, senior IT leaders, digital analytics
- External: Potential outsourced IT vendors
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, ideally within ecommerce, retail, or digital-first organizations
- Proficiency with modern commerce platforms (Shopify knowledge is a strong plus)
- Strong partnership experience with UX/design teams within design systems
- Robust analytical capability using tools such as Google Analytics, SQL, and A/B testing to inform decisions
- Experience specifying requirements, managing backlogs, and executing in Agile environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to influence and align diverse teams
- Technical understanding to collaborate with engineering teams; coding experience advantageous but not mandatory
- Familiarity with product management software such as JIRA and Confluence
- Genuine passion for ecommerce and delivering user-centered customer experiences
