Role Overview
Under the guidance of the Associate Creative Director, the Designer will integrate into a small but dynamic internal design team responsible for delivering design and motion projects viewed by millions daily. The portfolio includes creating thumbnails, title graphics, social media posts, presentations, event visuals, and more to elevate Vevo’s video content and brand presence.
The position demands involvement throughout project lifecycles, from research and concept development through meticulous execution. Apart from contributing creatively to major initiatives, you will manage daily projects, ensuring effective interdepartmental communication and the consistent delivery of high-quality design work. Handling multiple projects concurrently and performing under tight deadlines are essential here, given the team produces thousands of creative assets annually for a myriad of top artists.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop design materials for a wide range of projects including digital assets tailored for connected TV, social media campaigns, brand presentations, and original productions.
- Maintain strict adherence to Vevo’s branding and visual identity standards across all creative outputs.
- Collaborate closely with the Associate Creative Director and internal stakeholders to grasp project briefs, generate concepts, apply revisions, and meet delivery timelines.
- Partner with producers and editors on original content initiatives by providing design expertise.
- Craft compelling promotional graphics supporting Vevo’s brand activities, events, and network stunts.
- Edit and retouch photographs for brand deployment.
- Display versatility in design disciplines including motion graphics, editing software proficiency, and organized project file management.
- Keep current with design and industry trends while independently managing assigned projects and deadlines.
Candidate Requirements
- Between 3 to 5 years of professional design experience in-house or within a creative agency environment.
- Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; familiarity with After Effects and Premiere is advantageous.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Thorough understanding of design principles and typography to deliver high-quality visual solutions.
- Detail-oriented with strong proofreading capabilities to ensure error-free work.
- Self-driven learner who stays abreast of design tools and industry updates.
- Effective communicator who can present design concepts clearly and respond constructively to feedback.

Compensation and Work Setup
The annual salary ranges from $75,000 to $80,000. This full-time role is based primarily in Vevo’s New York City headquarters following a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence at least three days weekly unless designated as remote.
