Role Overview

This full-time remote role involves actively trading derivatives on the Bitunix platform. The trader will analyze cryptocurrency and associated markets to develop and implement effective trading strategies across futures and other derivative instruments. Key duties include close market monitoring, risk assessment and hedging, improving order execution techniques, and adjusting strategies according to fluctuations in market volatility and liquidity. Collaboration with internal teams for market insight exchange and product improvement is expected, along with maintaining meticulous records and performance analyses. Adherence to risk management principles, compliance with regulations and company policies, and pursuit of continual refinement in trading workflows are essential aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in futures and derivatives trading, either in cryptocurrency or traditional finance sectors.
• Capability to create, test, and optimize both systematic and discretionary trading methods.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, including hedging tactics to control exposure and safeguard capital.
• Understanding of commodity markets or similar asset classes with relevance to derivatives pricing.
• Experience using trading platforms, charting software like TradingView, and order entry systems.
• Advanced quantitative skills for analyzing market information and performance metrics.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent communication skills for documentation of trading plans and rationales.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in remote settings while engaging collaboratively with geographically dispersed teams.
• Previous background in crypto derivatives trading or proprietary/buy-side/sell-side trading is highly preferred.
