Deputy/Assistant Road System Safety Manager

Overview

This position involves a versatile role combining technical, analytical, and outreach responsibilities. The appointee will conduct safety audits and inspections for roads, cycling paths, and bus interchanges, proactively identifying risks to prevent accidents.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert technical advice on infrastructure safety to project teams and consultants, enhancing the quality and safety of transport infrastructure design. Strengthen the organization's safety governance by researching global best practices and updating road design standards accordingly. Develop training materials, guidelines, and informative articles aimed at enhancing safety awareness and capabilities across the transport sector. Explore and implement AI-based tools and innovative technologies to improve workflows related to safety governance.

Candidate Profile

The role demands strong knowledge in civil, transport, or traffic engineering. Candidates should be familiar with both local and international road design regulations. Prior exposure to road design, traffic management, and safety engineering is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills are crucial for clear presentation and effective teamwork. Candidates should demonstrate initiative, leadership potential, analytical thinking, and observational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required, with additional skills in AutoCAD, BIM, or traffic modelling software considered beneficial. Experience with AI applications in data analysis, computer vision, or workflow automation is valued. Holding a valid Class 3 driving licence is advantageous. Fresh graduates with relevant academic background are encouraged to apply.
