Dental Laboratory Technician Assistant

About the Role

This position is based at a commercial dental laboratory operated independently in Richmond, British Columbia. No previous experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided. The role requires working at the physical location without remote work options.

Main Duties

• Prepare plaster models and dental moulds for various prosthetic applications.
• Apply wax to denture setups and assemble wax bite-blocks as needed.
• Finish and polish metal frameworks for dentures, ensuring high-quality results.
• Construct impression trays and pack plastics in moulds to create full or partial dentures.
• Buff and polish completed dentures to meet laboratory standards.

Technical Specializations

• Expertise in packing, waxing-up, casting, polishing, and assembling dental prosthetics.
• Work with both full and partial dentures, as well as chrome castings.

Working Conditions

• Tasks may be repetitive and require close attention to detail.
• Fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Extended periods of sitting or standing are expected.
