Job description

Overview

Corlann Limerick is inviting applications for the position of Day Activity Facilitator located in Limerick City. Both permanent full-time and fixed-term full-time contracts are offered, with opportunities available within autism-specific units as well as general intellectual disability services. A supplementary panel will be established for all Day Activity Facilitator roles to fill current and future vacancies across full-time and part-time durations.

Role and Responsibilities

The Day Activity Facilitator works collaboratively within a team to create and implement programmes tailored to the unique needs and abilities of those supported. Ensuring the welfare and wellbeing of service users is paramount, requiring professionalism and respect for their right to live and participate fully in society. The role also demands skills in conflict resolution and empowering individuals with diverse perspectives.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Possess a third-level qualification relevant to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, or at least a QQI Level 5 Major Award (full 8 modules) in community development, health, or education
  • Hold a full manual driving license valid for operating manual vehicles on Irish roads
  • Familiarity with the HSE's New Directions Standards for Day Services and the Person-Centred Planning process
