Overview
Valin Technologies Ltd, a UK-based IT company established in 2012, is offering an internship opportunity for a Data/Insights Analyst. This role focuses on leveraging data to drive problem-solving in the education sector, working both with clients and internal consultants. Valin Technologies is part of IPSR Solutions Limited, a reputable EdTech organization with extensive global recognition and numerous awards for its training programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate externally with clients and internally with consultants to address challenges in the educational field using data.
- Accurately input insightful analyses into the CRM system and communicate findings to clients through visuals such as charts and graphs.
- Utilize tools like Excel and Tableau to process data and create visual representations.
- Handle multiple projects at the same time in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring consistent and precise service quality.
- Assist in shaping the data strategy by identifying problems and potential solutions.
- Gather data from various sources to support analytics and benchmarking tasks.
- Work alongside consultants on talent sourcing strategies targeting passive candidates.
- Deliver presentations of critical findings and insights related to higher education systems for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Develop innovative research methodologies to analyze and interpret existing datasets.
- Support initiatives fostering diversity and inclusion throughout the company's products and services in the education sector.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong written and oral communication abilities.
- High attention to detail coupled with effective presentation skills.
- Proficiency in data visualization.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Tableau software.
- Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Competence in data wrangling techniques.
- Strong critical thinking capabilities.
Preferred Additional Experience
- Familiarity with Power BI or other business intelligence platforms.
- Experience in web scraping.
- Dashboard development expertise.
- Skills in Python or R programming languages.
- An understanding of machine learning concepts.
