About the Role
We are collaborating with a rapidly expanding financial services firm looking to onboard a proactive Data Analyst / Analytics Engineer under a 12-month fixed term contract. This hybrid position is based in central London but offers substantial remote working flexibility. The role combines responsibilities in data engineering and analytics, suited to someone passionate about developing reliable data pipelines and generating impactful business insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and sustain data integrations with internal systems and third-party application programming interfaces.
- Develop and enhance ETL pipelines along with data warehouse infrastructure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to produce dashboards, reports, and financial insights using Power BI and Excel.
- Take ownership of emerging data workflows as the analytics environment expands.
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for the data platform.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, or closely related role.
- Advanced skills in SQL and experience managing large-scale relational datasets.
- Strong command of Python for data analysis and automation tasks.
- Experience designing or engaging with ETL processes and data modeling.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders who do not have technical backgrounds.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience with Power BI or equivalent data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with Azure data services.
- Background or exposure to finance, lending, or regulated sectors.
