Role Overview
This position focuses on gathering, interpreting, and presenting data to facilitate decision-making and provide valuable insights for the organization. Utilizing statistical and analytical approaches, the role involves exploring data to uncover trends, patterns, and irregularities, offering actionable intelligence that supports data-driven decisions and process enhancement towards strategic goals. The incumbent delivers strategic advice to senior leadership based on data-derived evidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a group of data science engineers to investigate, design, develop, and execute data science projects that yield new insights, products, technology solutions, and intellectual property.
- Carry out data collection, analysis, and visualization activities according to project plans.
- Work alongside internal and external stakeholders to conduct experiments and validations aligned with strategic goals.
- Gather, record, and analyze datasets using established protocols, communicating findings for peer review and refinement.
- Contribute to drafting literature, presentations for peer-reviewed publications, industry events, and conferences, including patent application support.
- Apply scientific methodologies, tools, and analysis software to collect and validate research data.
- Create algorithms, mathematical models, conduct experiments, and aid in developing data-driven applications to convert data into actionable intelligence.
- Engage in designing and optimizing the data quality governance framework encompassing processes, standards, and rules.
- Employ advanced analytical techniques to extract, cleanse, and examine complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Operate independently on moderate-complexity issues, employing professional judgment within company policies to resolve challenges.
Education and Experience
- A four-year degree or graduate qualification in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience or demonstrated skills.
- Typically 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in data analytics, statistical analysis, or related fields, or an advanced degree with minimal work exposure.
Preferred Certifications
- Certifications in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or equivalent.
