Role Overview
The Customer Care Advocate plays a crucial role in ensuring high satisfaction levels for members, providers, and client companies by managing all frontline client interactions within a call center environment.
Key Duties
- Handle inbound calls across various call queues promptly and professionally.
- Assess plan benefits to understand specific provisions applicable to each call.
- Communicate with healthcare providers to relay plan details and update insurance information of members.
- Provide claim status updates to both providers and members.
- Manage follow-up tasks involving multiple stakeholders to guarantee complete resolution.
- Contact parties to gather information necessary for processing claims.
- Maintain thorough documentation of calls and pending follow-up actions.
- Resolve issues involving overpayments.
- Assist with new hire support and open enrollment processes.
- Perform additional support duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Position requires in-person attendance at Trevose, Pennsylvania site.
- Minimum education requirement is an associate degree or higher.
- Prior experience working in a call center is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Experience within the health insurance sector is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Possesses professionalism and a strong sense of personal accountability.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with proper telephone etiquette.
