Custodian

Overview

The Custodian role involves upholding cleanliness and sanitation standards at company facilities according to company policies and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Clean the terminal using hand brooms, power scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuum cleaners to achieve company-set cleanliness standards.
• Remove all trash from offices, restrooms, break rooms, and buildings daily, ensuring bins are empty and sanitized.
• Keep restrooms adequately stocked with all necessary supplies.
• Relocate, move, and adjust office furniture as needed.
• Ensure pest control systems operate properly and maintain excellent sanitation and housekeeping.
• Clear ice and snow from pedestrian pathways and parking lots to maintain safety.
• Maintain grounds free from litter and debris.
• Prepare required company reports related to labor and equipment usage.
• Keep logs documenting history of equipment repairs by type.
• Accurately prepare records and reports as mandated.
• Report any safety issues to the shift supervisor promptly.
• Follow OSHA and MSDS standards comprehensively.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills.
• Prior experience in custodial or related roles is required.
