Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-focused Credit Controller to join our Finance team, based at our Central Support Office in Colchester. The role demands a proactive approach to managing receivables and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely debt collection and account accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure prompt collection of all outstanding debts.
- Engage with individuals, service providers, and funding bodies to facilitate cash recovery.
- Prepare and provide debt status reports to the Finance and Operations Directors as necessary.
- Handle general credit control administration tasks.
- Perform account reconciliations and monitor financial records.
- Manage internal and external correspondence related to credit control.
- Issue credit control correspondence and process refund requests.
- Verify invoices and address changes in fee rates.
- Support forecasting activities related to collections.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in credit control.
- Strong organisational and administrative competencies.
- Effective communicator with excellent written and oral skills.
- Proactive problem-solver with a supportive attitude toward colleagues.
