Role Overview

We are looking for a precise and analytical Cost Controller to join our Jeddah team. This position is key in overseeing and optimizing the financial resources of the hotel, ensuring effective cost management throughout all departments.

Key Duties

• Establish and execute systems and procedures for controlling costs, monitoring expenditure, and identifying improvement areas.
• Examine financial data, generate comprehensive cost reports, and offer actionable insights for leadership decisions.
• Perform regular stock counts and reconciliations to keep inventory levels accurate.
• Track budget deviations, advise on corrective measures when required.
• Partner with department leaders to formulate and control departmental budgets.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and local compliance requirements.
• Prepare and audit financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Support cost-saving projects through development and execution.
• Maintain thorough and current financial records and documentation.
• Engage in forecasting and strategic financial planning activities.
• Analyze costs versus benefits for planned projects or investments.
• Train and guide staff on cost control methods and best practices.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; diploma holders with significant experience will also be considered.
• Demonstrated expertise in cost control or financial management roles.
• In-depth understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial analysis.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial management and inventory software such as Futurelog and Opera.
• Strong analytical mindset combined with problem-solving capabilities.
• High attention to detail ensuring accuracy in financial tasks.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capable of independent and team-oriented work in a dynamic environment.
• Preferred knowledge of Saudi Arabia's financial regulations and practices.
• Professional qualifications like CMA or CIMA are advantageous.
