Synopsis
We are searching for a knowledgeable Contract Manager to enhance Land Services SA's contract management capabilities by overseeing important customer and supplier agreements across both LSSA and LSWA. The position focuses on reinforcing contract governance, ensuring compliance, driving performance, and achieving favorable commercial outcomes.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Contract Management Lead, this role involves managing the entire contract lifecycle including governance, obligation tracking, risk and issue management, performance evaluation, reporting, and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned significant contracts throughout their entire lifecycle encompassing implementation, administration, performance tracking, modifications, renewals, closure, and handover activities.
- Serve as the designated Contract Manager and main liaison for LSSA in relation to its extensive 47-year concession agreement with the State.
- Maintain registers of contract obligations, ensuring that accountable business owners comprehend and fulfill their contractual duties.
- Collaborate closely with contract proprietors and business units to convert contract stipulations into actionable business processes and ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate the execution of contractual responsibilities including milestones, service standards, reporting requirements, and governance procedures.
- Continuously monitor contract performance, associated risks, compliance issues, and escalate concerns while supporting mitigation approaches.
- Handle formal contract processes, maintain correspondence, manage records, update registers, and keep audit-ready documentation accurate and current.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates robust contract management expertise coupled with sound commercial judgement and confidence engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Possesses experience in contract, commercial, or supplier management, preferably involving complex or critical agreements and ideally including exposure to ICT-related contracts.
- Displays a deep understanding of contract frameworks, service delivery obligations, commercial terms, risk factors, governance, and legal compliance.
- Capable of interpreting contract obligations and translating them effectively into practical business actions.
- Excels in stakeholder engagement, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Highly analytical, organized, with excellent problem-solving ability, meticulous attention to detail, and prudent judgement.
- While legal qualifications or experience are not mandatory, they are considered a valuable asset.
