Role Details
The Content Designer will join multidisciplinary teams to craft innovative digital products and services for governmental and private clients. The ideal candidate is a clear communicator and active listener with a systematic approach to problem solving and designing inclusive, user-focused experiences. This individual will balance business and user needs, demonstrate a pragmatic team-centric mindset and be eager to expand 'T-shaped' skills by embracing new challenges.
Responsibilities and Skills
- Create content that clearly addresses user needs, simplifying complex concepts, processes, and language.
- Collaborate effectively with user-centered design teams and stakeholders across agile service design phases from discovery through to live implementation.
- Engage in user research, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative data to inform content and user journey design.
- Participate in prototyping and user testing to refine content interactions.
- Influence senior stakeholders by guiding them to produce user-centered content supported by evidence of user needs.
- Ensure content complies with statutory or legal standards while maintaining accessibility and usability for broad audiences.
- Support and coach teams and stakeholders on user-centered design and agile methodologies.
- Champion usability, accessibility, and inclusivity best practices to facilitate universal access.
- Contribute to client design systems by setting content design standards.
- Apply expert knowledge of the Government Service Standard as it relates to the content designer's role.
- Communicate confidently and facilitate effectively with stakeholders at all levels using excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.
- Understand technical concepts and constraints at a high level to support collaboration.
- Navigate project limitations to ensure delivery of value to clients and their users.
- Support the growth and development of both the Solirius internal culture and design practice, including content community of practice.
- Contribute to thought leadership and marketing content, plus client proposals and presentations to support business development.

While the role is remote-based primarily, candidates should be willing to meet frequently at the London office and travel as needed for client engagements.
