Job Overview
This position requires a Construction Estimator to work onsite in Etobicoke, Ontario. Candidates should have strong English language skills and possess a College/CEGEP education or equivalent experience. The role requires between one to two years of relevant work experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimate labor and material expenses for construction projects.
- Prepare pre-qualification submissions for client presentations.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to assess work requirements.
- Calculate estimates for general expenses and overhead costs.
- Forecast project cash flow and financing needs.
- Compile and present estimate reports, quotes, and bid documents.
- Provide guidance on tendering procedures.
- Implement cost monitoring and reporting mechanisms.
- Track and manage contract expenditures and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain directories of suppliers and subcontractors.
- Collaborate and communicate with engineers, architects, clients, contractors, and subcontractors regarding cost estimate revisions and updates.
