Job Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Application Support Specialist to manage and maintain banking compliance software systems, including AML Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Screening, KYC, Customer Due Diligence, Embargo Screening, and Financial Crime Compliance tools. The selected candidate will ensure these vital applications are stable, available, and performing optimally within a banking context.
Primary Duties
- Deliver production support for AML, Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Screening, KYC, and related compliance software.
- Monitor system health and performance, resolve incidents promptly, and conduct root cause investigations.
- Handle application updates, deployment of new releases, patches, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to address and resolve operational issues.
- Keep application documentation current and enforce adherence to audit, security, and regulatory frameworks.
- Conduct regular system health audits and participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
Candidate Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is essential.
- Minimum of eight years’ experience supporting application systems in banking or financial services sectors.
- Practical experience with AML Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Screening, KYC, Embargo Screening, or comparable platforms such as SIRON, FircoSoft, NICE Actimize, Oracle Mantas.
- Proficiency in Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management aligned with ITIL best practices.
- Superior analytical abilities, troubleshooting expertise, effective communication, and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- In-depth understanding of financial crime compliance processes and banking regulatory environments.
