Overview
This role is responsible for driving customer acquisition, nurturing relationships, and expanding business opportunities to meet the Airbus Operating Plan Order Intake goals for the Asia Pacific region. The role aims to strengthen the "Services by Airbus" brand among customers and stimulate growth of the Services business in the territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer technical and commercial guidance to shape strategy, capture plans, and proposal development.
- Support regional strategy development through annual operating plan processes by identifying and quantifying opportunities.
- Regularly update deal prioritization based on market insights, team input, and marketing data.
- Identify sales opportunities by collaborating with Customer Affairs, Marketing, and other Airbus departments.
- Provide expert technical advice and develop commercial proposals in response to RFPs or unsolicited sales efforts.
- Assist Airbus Headquarters in attaining regional order intake objectives consistent with agreed financial parameters.
- Coordinate commercial activities between Airbus Customer Services, Customer Affairs, Satair, Skywise, and other affiliates to align with Airbus’s interests.
- Build and maintain a strong "Services by Airbus" image through effective customer relationship management (CRM).
- Collaborate closely with Regional Commercial Account Directors and Customer Support Directors on customer issues and negotiation matters.
- Ensure timely, quality entries in CRM tools and escalate relevant topics weekly; share lessons learned from business development and marketing campaigns.
- Develop a deep understanding of assigned region and customers including their culture and organizational dynamics, and share this internally.
- Mentor and coach the commercial services team, ensuring their technical expertise meets required standards; manage complex projects with both technical and leadership responsibilities.
- Improve existing sales processes and practices continuously.
Candidate Profile
- Proven successful experience in sales management with a robust sales background.
- Extensive knowledge of airline operations including maintenance, flight operations, and MRO within the aerospace industry.
- In-depth understanding and experience with the Services by Airbus portfolio (including Material, Upgrades, Maintenance, Connectivity, Training).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Leadership capabilities to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Highly motivated with strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and perform well under pressure.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to see the overall business picture and advocate Airbus interests.
