About NABTT
NABTT is developing a purpose-built content ecosystem for families and younger audiences. The company creates media content and runs a streaming platform that helps creators and media producers share their work. Its mission is to inspire children and parents through excellent programming that creates positive impact across social, cultural, and educational areas. The team works closely with purpose-driven creators to grow a rich library of meaningful children’s and family content, with a strong focus on creativity, honesty, and contributing to a healthier media landscape.
Role Overview
The Children Content Acquisition Expert will be responsible for sourcing, assessing, and securing high-quality children’s content from publishers, creators, studios, production houses, and distributors. This role combines content scouting, commercial negotiation, rights management, and cross-functional coordination to support the company’s content strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research strong children’s titles from publishers, content creators, production companies, and distributors.
- Review content for educational value, suitability by age group, entertainment quality, and cultural fit.
- Lead negotiations for licensing, acquisition, and distribution arrangements with rights holders and partners.
- Develop and sustain relationships with publishers, authors, studios, creators, and licensing agencies.
- Track market movements, new creators, and popular children’s media to uncover acquisition opportunities.
- Make sure all acquired titles meet legal, copyright, licensing, and child-safety requirements.
- Work closely with editorial, programming, marketing, product, and legal teams to align acquisitions with business goals.
- Use audience insights, viewing behaviour, and market research to inform selection decisions.
- Oversee acquisition budgets and monitor renewals, rights windows, and licensing timelines.
- Support the setup and cataloguing of newly acquired content within internal systems.
- Assist with localization work such as translation, dubbing, and cultural adaptation when needed.
- Keep contract files, licensing records, and content inventories accurate and up to date.
- Suggest content portfolios that support audience growth and commercial objectives.
- Prepare performance reports covering acquisition results, content usage, and return on investment.
Requirements
- Strong skills in negotiation and professional communication.
- Background knowledge of children’s media, publishing, or entertainment sectors.
- Clear understanding of copyright, licensing, and intellectual property principles.
- Ability to conduct market research and interpret data analytically.
- Experience managing projects and external vendors.
- Excellent organization and time management abilities.
- Comfort working with content management systems and digital media platforms.
- Capability to assess whether content is age-appropriate and educational.
- Careful attention to detail and hands-on contract management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications, Publishing, Education, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Prior experience in content acquisition, licensing, publishing, media, or children’s entertainment is preferred.
- Knowledge of children’s educational standards and developmental stages is an advantage.
- Experience with streaming platforms, educational publishers, or children’s content providers is preferred.
- Foreign language ability may be helpful for sourcing international content.
