Role Overview
The Chief Operating Officer acts as the backbone of Boldr’s operations, commercial activities, and systems. Reporting closely to the CEO, CFO, and CRO, this role transforms vision into actionable execution across five geographies and a workforce exceeding 1,000. Holding direct responsibility for Boldr’s operational infrastructure and a defined share of financial performance, the COO sets operating rhythm, ensures alignment across functions, and upholds mission focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish clear decision-making frameworks to enable agile, unified business action without delays
- Create and maintain consistent operating rhythms — reviews, metrics, and processes — that convert strategy into execution
- Facilitate cross-functional scrutiny of major commercial and operational decisions for accountable commitment
- Collaborate with the CRO to align revenue objectives with operational feasibility and financial reality
- Monitor major client relationships and revenue pipelines ensuring commitments are feasible and deliverable
- Scout and pursue growth avenues aligned with Boldr’s mission, profitability, and system capabilities
- Own and manage Boldr’s technology ecosystem supporting HR, finance, and delivery functions across geographies
- Prioritize and lead implementation of systems (HRIS, workforce platforms), ensuring adoption and integration
- Build comprehensive data infrastructure delivering reliable, consolidated insights on operational, commercial, and financial performance
- Promote automation and responsible artificial intelligence to enhance productivity, quality, and margins
- Ensure operational technology readiness emphasizing security, integration, and resilience to support scalability
- Oversee operating P&L and budgeting decisions to balance growth ambition with fiscal responsibility
- Maintain cost control and accurate operating forecasts; partner with the CFO on broader financial planning and reporting
- Provide transparent financial reporting to the CEO highlighting operational performance, risks, and forecasts
- Drive client experience excellence through leadership of VP CX, defining scalable service standards and accountability
- Manage client satisfaction metrics proactively and serve as escalation point for critical client issues
- Lead continuous enhancement of customer experience as a competitive advantage
- Construct resilient operating frameworks to support multi-national growth while preserving culture and quality
- Coordinate cross-geographic processes, systems readiness, and accountability frameworks across five countries
- Anticipate and resolve structural challenges before they affect operations
- Ensure all regions are adequately resourced, connected, and clear about their contribution to overall success
- Lead a high-performing senior leadership team exemplifying Boldr’s values
- Model organizational culture based on accountability, openness, inquisitiveness, and compassion
- Drive effective change management supporting rapid organizational scaling with stakeholder inclusion
- Deliver clear, timely executive reporting on performance and risks supported by accurate data
- Represent operations at leadership meetings with confident and transparent communication
- Guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements and governance standards in all operation areas
- Protect and uphold Boldr’s commitments as a certified B-Corp in operational management
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience building scalable, multi-geographic operations with strong systems insight
- Commercially savvy with deep understanding of revenue and financial operations
- Trusted leadership style: direct, transparent, fair, and fully engaged
- Mission-driven commitment to Boldr’s B-Corp ethos as an enabler rather than a constraint
- Broad operational command encompassing finance, commercial, systems, delivery, people, and governance
- High emotional intelligence, inspiring results through influence and collaboration
- At least 12 years in senior executive roles with significant financial and operational responsibility
- Demonstrated leadership managing diverse, international teams including emerging markets
- Ownership of substantial P&L or operating budgets in services or tech-enabled organizations
- Record of successful HRIS, ERP, workforce or operational technology system selection, implementation, and scaling
- Strong financial literacy, capable of interpreting financial statements and informing decisions
- Experience leveraging data, automation, and AI to enhance operational efficiency and profitability
- Close working experience with CEO, CFO, and commercial heads (CRO or equivalent)
- Preferably experienced within mission-aligned, B-Corp, or ESG-focused organizations
- Reputation for delivering measurable, impactful results rather than theoretical strategies
