Role Overview
The Chief Ethical Hacker position is a full-time, on-site role based in Lucknow. The person in this role leads the development and execution of the company’s cybersecurity strategy, primarily focusing on defensive operations. Daily responsibilities include conducting penetration testing on applications, networks, and infrastructure; pinpointing weaknesses; and advising on corrective actions. Continuous security monitoring, malware and threat investigations, and working alongside technical and leadership teams to build secure digital platform architectures form core tasks. The role also includes developing security policies, performing regular risk evaluations, and managing incident response procedures to meet best practice standards and regulatory compliance. Mentorship of team members, documentation upkeep, and keeping abreast of emerging cyber threats, tools, and ethical hacking techniques are fundamental aspects of this job.
Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in Application Security and Vulnerability Assessment, including proficiency with penetration testing utilities and secure software development methodologies.
- Strong background in Network Security, with experience setting up and evaluating firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and designing secure network architectures.
- Advanced skills in Cybersecurity and Malware Analysis such as threat modeling, incident response, and reverse engineering or evaluating malicious software behavior.
- Familiarity and practical knowledge of security standards and frameworks like OWASP, ISO 27001, and NIST, with experience drafting security policies and guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline is required; advanced certifications like CEH, OSCP, or CISSP are highly desirable.
- Proven track record in a senior or lead ethical hacking or cybersecurity role, including the capability to effectively communicate technical risk to non-technical stakeholders and work collaboratively across various teams.
- Strong analytical abilities, high levels of discretion and ethical integrity, along with a dedication to ongoing learning within the continuously changing security environment.
