Role Summary

We seek a motivated and enthusiastic Chemist with a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar paper manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality through various testing and chemical management duties to support smooth production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct testing of pulp characteristics such as consistency, freeness, ash content, and fiber loss across different production stages in the mill.
• Assess physical attributes of finished paper including strength, brightness, and thickness to maintain quality standards.
• Oversee chemical usage by monitoring consumption rates of starch, bleaching agents, and retention aids, and adjusting flows as necessary.
• Perform routine analysis of utility-related samples such as boiler water, wastewater treatment quality, and raw coal.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues stemming from paper defects, chemical imbalances, or operational downtime.

Candidate Profile

The preferred candidate should hold a graduate degree and possess extensive experience in paper manufacturing chemistry.
