Job description

Role Overview

Northpower seeks a seasoned Change Manager to lead transformative initiatives within our Asset Transformation Programme in the Network division. This programme aims to revolutionize the management and maintenance of our electricity network through the deployment of ESRI GIS, Maximo Asset Management, and advanced data-driven asset management techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct all change management efforts across the Asset Transformation Programme employing established frameworks.
  • Create and update essential change documents, including change strategies, impact and stakeholder assessments, communication, training, and readiness plans.
  • Implement and track change adoption and effectiveness metrics.
  • Mentor leadership and teams to facilitate the transition and embed new systems and processes successfully.
  • Collaborate with change agents, workstream leaders, and project managers to assure uniform change delivery.
  • Provide analytical insights and deliver regular reports to programme and senior leadership.
  • Engage actively in Agile delivery processes including ceremonies, testing phases, go-live support, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Assist in solution design by communicating business value and user requirements.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with network business units, Group Digital, and Energy Services teams.
  • Liaise with external vendors, implementation partners, network operators, clients, and learning and development providers.

Health, Safety, and Environment

  • Champion a robust culture of health, safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.
  • Ensure adherence to safe work practices and timely incident reporting.
  • Empower personnel to halt unsafe practices when identified.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven leadership experience in managing change within complex digital transformation programmes.
  • Possession of an accredited change management certification (e.g., PROSCI, APMG).
  • Minimum five years in change management or related project roles.
  • Demonstrated capability with large-scale digital system implementations.
  • Preferably experienced in utilities or asset management systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies is advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet stringent deadlines in cross-functional settings.
  • Practical and solution-oriented with sound judgment and decision-making competencies.
