Role Overview

As a CCTV Engineer located in Qatar, you will be accountable for the design, deployment, and upkeep of CCTV and comprehensive security systems. Your duties encompass conducting assessments at client sites, formulating technical documentation and proposals, choosing the suitable cameras and system components, and integrating them with existing network and access control infrastructures. The position entails substantial hands-on fieldwork such as structured cabling, hardware mounting, configuring, and system commissioning. You’ll play a key role in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and ensuring that installations adhere to safety, performance, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed site surveys and compose technical proposals for surveillance installations.
• Determine appropriate CCTV equipment and network infrastructure based on client requirements.
• Install, connect, and configure cameras (IP and analog), NVRs/DVRs, and associated devices.
• Integrate security systems with existing network, access control, and telephony systems.
• Conduct cabling, hardware mounting, and oversee the full system commissioning process.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, perform scheduled preventive maintenance, and address failures promptly.
• Ensure installations comply with safety regulations, data security, and industry best practices.
• Document all system configurations and maintain up-to-date project records.
• Collaborate closely with project teams and clients, supporting upgrades and infrastructure expansions as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Proven understanding of CCTV systems, both IP and analog, including practical knowledge of NVR/DVR platforms and video management software.
• Demonstrated experience with ELV systems, structured cabling, TCP/IP networking, basic switching, routing, and VLAN management.
• Ability to interpret schematics, technical layouts, and produce comprehensive reports for installation and commissioning.
• Strong skills in on-site setup, equipment integration, system configuration, and preventive as well as corrective maintenance.
• Knowledge of security system standards, data protection policies, and compliance requirements is necessary.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effective teamwork and client liaison.
• Meticulous approach to system documentation and ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
• Technical diploma or engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecom, or related field required; certifications in CCTV/security systems are preferable.
• Prior experience working on ELV/security projects in Qatar or the Gulf is highly valued.
