About the Role

Join Walmart Canada as a Cashier and gain valuable experience in the retail sector. In this position, you will provide outstanding customer service at the point of sale which helps build customer loyalty. The role demands vigilance in protecting company assets, highlighting the importance of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet every customer in a courteous and friendly way.
• Efficiently manage all purchase transactions, including deactivation of items as part of the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) program.
• Encourage customers to participate in company-sponsored programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable efforts.
• Help customers with bagging and loading of their purchased goods.
• Adhere to workplace safety protocols including correct lifting techniques and maintaining cleanliness at your station.
• Safeguard register security by carefully handling cash, complying with company policies, and staying alert to the surroundings.
• Direct customers to a Customer Service Manager for services or transactions beyond the cashier role.

Compensation

This position offers a starting wage of $15.50 per hour.

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
