Cashier

Overview

This on-site role entails key responsibilities involving handling transactions and customer service at Petro-Canada in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada. Fluency in English and a secondary school diploma or equivalent experience are required. No prior experience is necessary as comprehensive training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Handle operations of the cash register efficiently
• Process payments including cash, cheques, and credit/debit cards accurately
• Collect payments for goods and services sold
• Reconcile total payments received during shifts with sales records
• Welcome and assist customers courteously
• Ensure legal age verification when selling restricted products such as lottery tickets, alcohol, and tobacco
• Label and catalogue items received in inventory

Requirements

• Completion of secondary (high) school or equivalent experience
• Readiness to learn and adapt with on-the-job training
• Strong flexibility and personal adaptability
• Ability to work physically on location as remote work is not an option
