Job description
Overview
This position requires proficiency in English and a minimum education of secondary (high) school graduation. Candidates should possess between 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
Work location is strictly on-site at Dairy Queen in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, with no remote options available.
Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register efficiently to manage transactions
- Handle payments including cash, cheques, and credit/debit cards
- Scan merchandise accurately
- Collect payments for purchased goods or services
- Engage in suggestive selling to promote additional products
- Restock shelves and maintain cleanliness of the counter area
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival
- Package goods by wrapping or placing merchandise into bags
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout the interaction
