Job Overview
The Cashier position is vital in delivering prompt, courteous, precise, and safe customer service. In this capacity, individuals handle checkout and return transactions and oversee the Self-Checkout stations. They actively enhance their understanding of products and projects to inform customers and recognize opportunities for sales. Adherence to all company policies and procedures is essential to minimize inventory shrinkage.
Additional Role - Head Cashier
The Head Cashier supports cashier staff by managing their positioning, facilitating price verifications, and authorizing point-of-sale transactions and markdowns across various registers, including mainline, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They act as the first point of escalation for customer concerns and contribute to coaching, training, and supervising Front End Associates. This includes helping in the education of new Cashiers and utilizing effective methods to mentor and enhance the performance of the cashier team.
Qualifications
The preferred candidate for a Head Cashier role has at least one year of cashier experience.
