Role Purpose

The Buyer will be responsible for managing vendor relationships for goods and services, pinpointing new sourcing opportunities, and ensuring an effective supply chain through negotiation, risk management, and vendor performance monitoring.

Key Duties

• Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of production processes for capacitors and filters along with their material requirements.
• Manage procurement activities for new projects and ongoing serial productions.
• Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to suppliers and timely collect their bids.
• Build and sustain long-term supplier partnerships and evaluate their operational performance.
• Create, update, and track purchase orders within the procurement system.
• Collaborate with Finance, Warehouse, and Logistics departments to ensure accuracy of documents and receipt confirmations.
• Supervise the quality and delivery compliance of procured materials and services, adhering to KEMET’s quality standards.
• Provide regular updates on order statuses to internal teams and proactively mitigate supply risks.
• Keep supplier information updated and generate procurement reports and analytics.
• Drive continuous enhancements in procurement processes and related metrics.
• Assist Sourcing and Commodity Managers in strategic procurement projects.
• Maintain high ethical standards throughout the purchasing activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in procurement or relevant discipline.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel.
• Strong vendor sourcing and supply chain procedure expertise.
• Excellent analytical abilities and experience in cost analysis and financial reporting.
• Effective negotiation and communication capabilities.
• Personal traits include accuracy, flexibility, independence, responsibility, and teamwork orientation.
• Technological proficiencies with Oracle, Lotus, or similar procurement software.
• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Work Location and Details

• Position based in Ilinden, Skopje, North Macedonia.
• Full-time, on-site role within the Procurement Department.
• Reports to the Procurement Manager for Macedonia and Bulgaria.
