About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Business Development and Account Manager focused on managing platinum accounts related to thermoplastics and thermosets, as well as promoting new products across Xamax Industries. This full-time position plays a crucial role in both sales and technical support, working closely with the General Manager to maintain and grow core accounts, and expanding into new markets by selling innovative products.
Key Responsibilities
- Support sales of composite solutions, including thermoplastic and thermoset products, ensuring sales targets and financial goals are met through optimal distribution channels.
- Collaborate with New Product Development (NPD) to market existing and emerging products, develop new applications, and ensure product qualification timelines satisfy customer expectations.
- Propose new products, applications, and services by analyzing current product performance and identifying unmet needs.
- Source new materials to support product and application growth.
- Facilitate sales activities by organizing meetings, creating presentations, and following up on discussions and orders.
- Build strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients by articulating product capabilities and addressing objections.
- Qualify and respond to inquiries from accounts by providing quotations under GM guidance and manage subsequent follow-ups.
- Drive sales expansion by introducing new products and services and developing new applications for existing clients.
- Offer technical sales support during calls or virtual meetings, explaining product features, material specifications, and competitive advantages.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial sales or technical engineering, with a preference for experience in FPR Thermoplastic or FRP Thermoset sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, ideally with a focus on materials or nonwoven textiles.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong customer service and sales support mindset.
- Skilled at multitasking with excellent organizational and detail orientation abilities.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changing business environments.
- Proficient communication skills both written and oral, with an ability to listen attentively and learn.
- Competent with Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous.
