Job description
Overview
The Digital Design team is tasked with supporting the initial design and ongoing development of the Te Au Reka digital service, which will be implemented across three phases. The Business Analyst role focuses on Phase 2, expanding Te Au Reka to criminal jurisdiction within the District Court, including Youth and Civil Courts, as well as the High Court. Reporting to the Manager of Digital Design, the role emphasizes delivering sustainable, customer-focused digital services that achieve key business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and specify critical stakeholder data needs to guide data model design and related processes.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify challenges and objectives.
- Produce detailed documentation covering both business and technical requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical parties to ensure alignment on goals and progress.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to guarantee smooth information flow.
Experience and Skills
- Proven background as a Business Analyst.
- Familiarity with technical documentation standards and methodologies.
- Strong abilities in stakeholder management and communication.
- Experienced in capturing, prioritizing, and validating complex technical and business requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills suitable for diverse teams.
- Able to navigate ambiguity in complex technical projects and deliver within deadlines.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience working within Agile frameworks and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Capable of providing strategic insights to improve business processes through technology.

Salary and Application
The salary range for this position is between NZD 105,226 and NZD 144,034 annually, with appointments typically made between NZD 105,226 and NZD 126,213 depending on experience and skills.
