Business Analyst - Core Banking Transformation

Overview

Vistas Global is looking for a seasoned Business Analyst specialized in Core Banking Transformation with a focus on Retail and Corporate Banking. The role primarily supports large-scale transformation projects implementing Temenos Transact (T24) solutions, including Islamic Banking modules (AA & TPH). Candidates must possess in-depth banking operations knowledge and proven expertise in business analysis, process redesign, and stakeholder engagement within banking transformation contexts.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, scrutinize, and document detailed business requirements using standardized documents such as BRDs and FSDs, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• Lead business process transformation and define future-state operating models including business rules, operational workflows, and gap analysis focused on core banking functions.
• Drive transformation efforts within Retail and Corporate Banking areas, covering customer information management, deposit and financing products, corporate banking operations, payments, remittances, and account maintenance.
• Support data migration processes by planning data mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution to ensure smooth transition of banking data.
• Formulate test strategies and prepare test scenarios for System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), facilitating defect triage and resolution while securing business approvals.
• Manage change initiatives by developing operational readiness plans, SOPs, user manuals, delivering training, and promoting user adoption of new banking systems.
• Engage extensively with business users, technology teams, vendors, and project managers to provide project updates, lead workshops, and facilitate effective communication across stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, support audit and regulatory compliance processes, and ensure strict adherence to banking policies and requirement traceability.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 11 years in Core Banking transformation projects with substantial experience in Temenos Transact (T24) implementations.
• Strong expertise in Retail and Corporate Banking operations and previous roles as Business Analyst or Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Demonstrated involvement in Middle East banking transformation programs, with a strong understanding of Islamic Banking (AA & TPH) domains.
• Competence in managing data migration and banking reconciliation activities.
• Proven track record in executing SIT, UAT, and business validations with client-facing consulting experience.
• Preferred candidates hold Temenos Consultant certification and possess 5+ years specifically in Islamic banking implementations within GCC/Middle East markets.
• Experience dealing with multi-vendor environments and knowledge of banking regulatory and operational compliance is an advantage.
• Academic background in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Engineering, or related fields.
